1 DAY IN SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA – PRIVATE CAR TOUR FROM PORTO
We are storytellers, and in this unique experience, we will share the history and anecdotes of Santiago de Compostela’s most famous and hidden corners. We will depart by car from Porto towards Galicia, with a special stop at the imposing Castro de Santa Trega in A Guarda, an ancient Celtic settlement offering spectacular views of the Miño River and the Atlantic Ocean.
Upon arriving in Santiago, we will walk around the historic center, known as A Améndoa” (The Almond) for approximately 2 hours. We will stroll along the remains of the old city walls, exploring the significance of its gates and the richness of its monasteries, until we reach the magnificent Praza do Obradoiro and the impressive façade of the Cathedral of Santiago. If you wish, at the end of the tour, we can visit one of the city’s most emblematic and elegant cafés. Additionally, we will guide you on how to visit the Pórtico de la Gloria, one of the Cathedral’s greatest architectural treasures. An unforgettable day filled with history, culture, and breathtaking landscapes.

1 DAY IN THE RÍAS BAIXAS – PRIVATE CAR TOUR
The Rías Baixas offer a setting of unparalleled beauty, where the Atlantic Ocean meets the land in a harmonious dance of inlets, winding estuaries, and golden beaches. This region is blessed with a landscape that combines green hills, fertile valleys, and a rugged coastline dotted with small islands and picturesque villages. The mild and humid climate, influenced by the proximity to the sea, creates ideal conditions for an exceptional culinary scene, with fresh seafood such as mussels, scallops, and octopus taking center stage in simple yet flavorful local dishes. The cuisine is complemented by the region’s white wines, particularly those made from the Albariño grape, whose quality and character are recognized worldwide. Beyond its rich gastronomic offerings, the Rías Baixas are a true cultural treasure.
Itinerary: We will depart from Santiago de Compostela and visit a fervenza (waterfall). We will continue to Combarro, in the Ría de Pontevedra, a mystical village in the region. We will briefly visit Sanxenxo and Portonovo, beach destinations often frequented by Spanish royalty, and take a break for lunch at a traditional Galician restaurant. After lunch, we will visit the Monastery of Armenteira (to be confirmed) and finish with a walk along the coast of San Vicente do Mar. If time allows, we can visit Illa da Toxa, home to a thermal water spa.

1 DAY IN OURENSE AND RIBEIRA SACRA – PRIVATE CAR TOUR
The Ribeira Sacra, located in the provinces of Lugo and Ourense, is a region of indescribable natural beauty. Its name reflects not only its stunning landscapes but also its rich religious and cultural heritage. Along the deep valleys and breathtaking canyons, the Sil River winds through steep slopes, where terraced vineyards cling to the hills, creating an impressive visual spectacle. Besides its importance in winemaking, the region is a treasure trove of religious heritage. Monasteries and historic churches, often built in remote and awe-inspiring locations, stand as silent witnesses to centuries of spiritual devotion and the region’s history.
Itinerary: We will depart from Santiago de Compostela toward Ourense, where we can admire As Burgas, a thermal spring in the city center, and visit the Cathedral of Ourense, which features a remarkable treasure: the Pórtico do Paraíso, influenced by the famous Pórtico de la Gloria. Next, we will visit the emblematic Church of San Vicente de Pombeiro (to be confirmed) and take a break for lunch at the beautiful Praia Fluvial de A Cova. After some rest, we will head to the Mirador de Cabo do Mundo, one of the most spectacular viewpoints in the Ribeira Sacra. Depending on the day, it is possible to arrange a 2-hour boat trip along the Miño River (this would require changes to the itinerary).

1 DAY IN COSTA DA MORTE AND FINISTERRE – PRIVATE CAR TOUR
The Costa da Morte, whose name evokes a sense of mystery and danger, derives from its reputation for treacherous waters and rocky cliffs. However, beyond this ominous name lies a breathtaking landscape with unspoiled beaches, hidden coves, solitary lighthouses, and picturesque villages dotting the horizon.
One of the highlights of the Costa da Morte is the Fisterra Lighthouse, located at the westernmost point of mainland Spain. This iconic structure has a long history associated with maritime navigation and is a place of pilgrimage for many, as it is considered an alternative end to the Camino de Santiago. From the lighthouse, visitors can enjoy spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean and the endless horizon, especially at sunset, when the sky turns shades of orange and red.
Itinerary: We will depart from Santiago de Compostela toward Costa da Morte, where we will visit incredible historical landmarks such as the Dolmen of Dombate and the Castro de Borneiro. If the tide allows, we will make a short stop at Praia dos Cristais before continuing to the Fervenza do Ézaro. After enjoying this stunning waterfall, we will head to Cape Finisterre.

Lugo, located in the interior of Galicia, is a historic city surrounded by well-preserved Roman walls, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. These 3rd-century walls form an imposing ring around Lugo’s historic center, offering visitors the unique opportunity to walk along their pathways and enjoy panoramic views of the city.
Itinerary: We depart from Santiago de Compostela towards Lugo, where we will admire its famous Roman walls. Just a few minutes from the city center, we will visit Castro de Viladonga, a typical settlement of the populations that inhabited the region before the Roman occupation.

A Coruña, located in the Rías Altas, is a dynamic and cosmopolitan port city, known for its stunning seafront promenade, spectacular beaches, and historical architecture. The emblematic Tower of Hercules, considered the oldest continuously operating lighthouse in the world, dominates the coastal landscape and offers breathtaking panoramic views of the city and the ocean.
Itinerary: We depart from Santiago de Compostela towards A Coruña, where we will admire the Tower of Hercules, the world’s oldest working lighthouse. We will also explore the seafront promenade, historically linked to the Camino de Santiago and the wine trade, as well as San Antón Castle and María Pita Square, the heart of the old town. Here, we will enjoy the local gastronomy, sampling A Coruña’s famous tapas.

Along the way, explore ancient medieval wine presses, witnesses of the region’s viticultural past, and historic wine cellars, where the art of wine aging has been perfected for centuries. Guided by local experts, discover the distinct characteristics of each D.O., from the fresh and aromatic Albariño of Rías Baixas to the elegant Mencía reds of Ribeira Sacra.
A journey into the origins, secrets, and stories behind the wines that make Galicia an essential destination for wine lovers and fine dining enthusiasts.
Duration and Itinerary: This route has a flexible duration, ranging from 3 to 10 days, depending on availability.
• For up to 5 days: We will visit one Denomination of Origin (D.O.) per day, exploring the history and wines of each region.
• From 6 days onwards: In addition to visiting the five D.O.s, we will also explore the most emblematic and picturesque locations in each area, such as scenic viewpoints, historic wineries, monuments, and unique natural landscapes.
This flexibility allows for a personalized experience, ensuring maximum enjoyment of Galicia’s wine and cultural delights.
